ENVIRONMENTAL SUSTAINABILITY

Sustainability in the company

Practices, choices, and good habits that Criocabin adopts and promotes as part of its company policy.

  • Use of energy from photovoltaic panels: installed in 2009, 57% of the energy that they produce helps us meet our energy needs.
  • Charging points for electric cars.
  • Water distribution points throughout the company and delivery of Criocabin thermal bottles to employees.
  • Digitization of documentation and reduction of paper waste.
  • Inclusion of sustainability and respect for the environment in the company's Code of Ethics, to raise awareness of the issue among employees.

Product sustainability

Each Criocabin counter is designed according to precise criteria: energy efficiency, lower environmental impact, low GWP gas and ease of maintenance.

The systems used in Criocabin products enable energy saving.

  • G-concept

The high heat exchange coefficient of the glycol refrigerant liquid leads to significant energy savings compared to a normal gas refrigerated system.

Constant product improvement requires the right design, technology and data analysis support: all this happens in the Test Rooms. In the test rooms we check the temperature and humidity values according to the specifications of the climatic classes reported in ISO 23953-2; thanks to advanced acquisition systems we measure the variation in temperature and humidity inside the counters. By doing this we can analyze performance and rectify the product under development to guarantee the required performance. In the Test Room we also verify product certification to ensure it is in line with benchmark standards.

In our dialogue with customers, we try to raise awareness of the energy and environmental advantages of using a wall-mounted display fitted with doors, which involves lower energy and gas wastage.

For most of our products we use natural refrigerants with a low GWP value, such as R290, with a low environmental impact and excellent energy efficiency.

From March 2021, refrigerated furniture is also subject to energy classification: this has pushed us even more towards a synergistic project focused on obtaining ever better energy classification and increasing awareness of eco-sustainability among our customers.
